Description
A Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor Carbine chambered in .45-70 caliber. This single-shot, breech-loading firearm features a 22-inch steel barrel and a walnut stock. The left side of the receiver is fitted with a saddle ring and bar. The breech block is stamped U.S. MODEL 1873 and retains visible heat-treated case coloring. The lock plate is marked with an American eagle and U.S. SPRINGFIELD. The receiver is stamped with serial number 176320. The firearm is equipped with an adjustable flip-up rear sight and a carbine-style steel buttplate featuring a U.S. stamp and a trapdoor for storage. Barrel length: 22 inches. This item is either black powder or manufactured in or before 1898 (and does not take readily available ammunition), and thus does not require an FFL or background check. We can hand out to you at pickup or ship to the address of your choice. In-house shipping available.
