Description
A pair of vintage military-style dress uniform jackets from the Bordentown Military Institute (B.M.I.) of New Jersey, manufactured by Jacob Reed’s Sons of Philadelphia. The first jacket is constructed from textured gray wool and features four flapped pockets, brass buttons embossed with crossed rifles and B.M.I. N.J. text, and embroidered U.S. ROTC and star sleeve insignia. The second jacket is composed of dark navy blue wool with four flapped pockets, brass B.M.I. buttons, yellow shoulder piping, and a circular BMI shoulder patch. An interior label in the navy jacket is handwritten with the name Minig, G and dated May 15, 1918. Both garments include interior manufacturer labels for Jacob Reed’s Sons. Visible length: 20 inches . Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
