Description
A collection of handcrafted pottery by Gus Sherman for Athens Pottery, featuring off-white glazes with hand-painted blue floral and avian motifs. The group includes a large lidded canister, vases of varying forms, a bowl, a dish, and a matching shaker set. Many pieces are marked Athens or Athens, O. and bear cursive artist signatures. Accompanying the pottery are several figurines, including a black-capped chickadee mounted on a natural driftwood base inscribed Black Capped Chickadee, Athens, O., and Essex. Other figurines include porcelain bird examples by Otagiri and a butterfly figurine marked Made in Occupied Japan. Large canister: 11 inches height Tallest vase: 11 inches height . Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
