Description

A group of four enameled metal items of Chinese origin, likely dating to the early to mid-20th century export period. The collection includes a rectangular framed panel, two lidded boxes, and a small round dish. The largest piece is a rectangular framed panel featuring a still life arrangement of various vases and vessels with flowering branches and foliage, set against a pink background with a cloud motif. Accompanying this are two lidded boxes: a rectangular one decorated with landscape scenes, figures, and pagodas, marked “CHINA” on its base; and a round box adorned with colorful butterflies and floral patterns on a dark blue ground, topped with a brass-toned finial. The final item is a small round dish or coaster, showcasing white flowering branches over a blue geometric pattern, also marked “CHINA” on its green enameled base. All pieces exhibit techniques consistent with either cloisonne or Canton enamel. Minor tarnish and wear to the metal edges consistent with age and use. No significant losses or repairs observed.
