Description
This five-piece commemorative glassware set was manufactured by Libbey Glass to celebrate the history of the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The suite consists of one clear glass carafe and four matching tumblers, each featuring detailed screen-printed graphics. The decoration includes the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway winged logo, facsimile signatures of Speedway executives Mary Hulman and Joe Cloutier, and a comprehensive chronological list of race winners from 1911 through 1983. Each tumbler is finished with a gilded rim and displays the cursive L maker mark on the base. This set serves as a historical record of American open-wheel racing through the early 1980s.
