Description
A group of contemporary cast iron mechanical banks featuring designs modeled after traditional 19th-century examples. The collection includes a Stump Speaker bank featuring a caricatured orator on a red base, a Trick Pony bank with a white horse on a blue base, a Basketball bank with a player figure and hoop on a green base, and a seated gentleman figure in a black suit and orange vest. Each piece is constructed from painted cast iron with raised lettering on the bases. The items utilize mechanical coin-activated movements and are assembled with visible screws. These pieces are characteristic of late 20th-century replicas, with some designs associated with 1983 production or Taiwan manufacturing. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
