Description
This collection features a variety of mid-20th-century ephemera and utility items. Included are several children’s books: A Day with Charlie McCarthy and Edgar Bergen (1938), a die-cut Bow-Wow Stories by McLoughlin Bros., Walt Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 96-page story book, and Animal Friends also by McLoughlin Bros. Culinary interest is represented by a disassembled Southern Cook Book of Fine Old Recipes featuring hand-painted wooden covers and a cast metal five-cup muffin tin. The lot contains several vintage tools, notably a Lufkin 966 Red End six-foot folding rule, multiple boxes of Lufkin Chrome Clad replacement blades, and Lufkin Mezurall tape measures. Decorative and historical objects include a hand-carved wooden oval frame with bird and foliate motifs, a hand-painted ceramic tile depicting a figure and donkey, a small ceramic dish with a floral and rabbit motif, a brass-toned thermometer assembly with landscape images, and a wooden crate panel stamped Atlas Powder Co. High Explosives Wilmington Delaware. The items are presented in a brown wire basket. Measurements: Lufkin folding rule: 6 feet . Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
