Description
An assortment of literature featuring a multi-volume set of the Works of Charles Dickens, Library Edition, published in London by Chapman and Hall. The volumes are bound in half-leather with marbled paper boards and gilt-stamped spines. Titles include The Pickwick Papers, Nicholas Nickleby, Martin Chuzzlewit, Old Curiosity Shop, Barnaby Rudge, Oliver Twist, Dombey and Son, David Copperfield, Pictures from Italy, Bleak House, Little Dorrit, Christmas Books, A Tale of Two Cities, Great Expectations, and Our Mutual Friend. The set was printed by Bradbury, Evans, and Co. The collection also includes two hardcover volumes by J.K. Rowling published by Scholastic: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (2007), stated first edition, first printing; and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2005), stated first American edition, second printing. Both modern volumes retain their original dust jackets. A German-language edition of Marchen by the Brothers Grimm is also included. A handwritten ink inscription is present on the endpaper of one volume. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
