An antique Ideal Manufacturing Company (New Haven, CT) hand loading tool, commonly referred to as a tong tool or No. model. The tool is constructed of cast iron or steel and retains remnants of a bright metal finish, likely nickel plating. This combination tool is designed for the”.45 COLT’S” caliber, as marked on the frame. It features a hinged jaw mechanism, integral bullet mold block, and a projecting cylindrical stud used for decapping or seating. Inscriptions visible on the frame include the manufacturer’s name”IDEAL MFG CO, NEW HAVEN, CT, U.S.A.” and patent dates”PAT. FEB. 11. & D. -84.” Approximately 5.5 inches long. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
