Description

A trio of 19th-century powder flasks constructed from embossed copper and brass. The collection includes a flask by James Dixon and Sons of Sheffield featuring an embossed leaf motif and a graduated brass nozzle. A second flask by G. and J. W. Hawksley of Sheffield displays ornate scrollwork and lattice patterns and includes an attached metal suspension chain. The third flask, produced by the American Flask and Cap Company, features a fluted ribbed design and is stamped with the patent date Sept 24 1872. All three flasks are equipped with adjustable brass measuring nozzles graduated in drams. Leaf motif flask: 8 inches Scrollwork flask: 8.5 inches Fluted flask: 7.5 inches . Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
