MFG/IMPORTER: Pilon Brevete SGDG MODEL: Thumb fired rifle. SERIAL: NSN CALIBER/GAUGE: 12 mm CONDITION: Action works well. SIZE: 21″ bbl. NOTES: Though not well known, alternative trigger designs utilizing the thumb, rather than the index finger date back to the mid 19th century and some specialty rifles even use this trigger mechanism today. This French model is rare, and only a few examples are known. This item is either black powder or manufactured in or before 1898 (and does not take readily available ammunition), and thus does not require an FFL or background check. We can hand out to you at pickup or ship to the address of your choice. In-house shipping available. Pick up is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
