Still Life painting depicting a bowl of gooseberries, a plate of oysters, a bread roll, cherries, two prawns, and a Roemer, all on a partially draped table. Dutch School, c. 1640-1650 with signature ‘JF · Es · fe’ . Attributed to Jacob Foppens van Es. (c. 1596-1666, Antwerp), a Flemish Baroque painter known for his still life works mainly of food and occasionally flowers. He was one of the leading representatives of the first generation in Flemish still-life painting. Oil on wood panel. Framed size: 27.5" x 22." Sight size: 19.5" x 13".
