Description
M1874 Dyer cartridge box stamped on the reverse, U.S. ARSENAL BENICIA. The "US" impressed on the front of the box is still visible but is worn. The leather is supple and pliable with some crazing. Lamb’s wool is missing. The belt loops and attachment tab are intact. Located in Benicia, California, the Benicia Arsenal was a staging area during the Civil War for Union troops from the West, and the installation remained a garrisoned post until 1898. In-house shipping is available. Open pickup is Tuesday, Oct. 29 from Noon to 7 pm at our offices in Carroll, OH 43112 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
