Description
This collection consists of United States Army uniform items from the late World War II and immediate post-war era. The lot includes an M1943 field jacket made of olive drab (OD7) cotton sateen, featuring the standard four-pocket configuration with buttoned flaps, a drawstring waist, and a button-front closure with a protective fly cover. Also included is an M1944 wool serge service jacket, commonly referred to as an Ike Jacket, in olive drab 33 (OD33). A matching pair of M1945 wool field trousers in OD33 18 oz. wool serge is present. The interior pocket bag of the trousers displays an official Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot contract stamp with a pattern date of December 20, 1945, and a manufacturing date of June 28, 1946. The waistband and pocket bag are marked with the name Ceser and service number suffix 6759. The collection is completed by a single black wool or mohair service tie. All uniform components are stripped of original division patches and rank insignia.
