Description
A collection of United States military field equipment and communication gear primarily dating from World War II through the mid-20th century. The lot includes two olive drab canvas field bags, one of which features a black U.S. stencil. A canvas pouch is present with a clear manufacturer stamp reading LAIRD SCHOBER 1944. A tan canvas case is marked CASE, CLEANING ROD, M1. The group features a heavy-duty collapsible tan canvas bucket with a folding metal frame and a black wooden handle. Communication equipment includes two military headsets with adjustable leather headbands and coiled rubber-insulated wiring terminating in red and black plugs. Webbing includes several utility belts in olive drab and white cotton parade/Military Police styles, along with various canvas magazine and utility pouches with wire belt hangers. A pistol lanyard is included in its original plastic packaging with a label identifying it as Hyatt, National Stock Number 8465-00-965-1705. The collection is rounded out by a grey synthetic or wool garrison cap featuring a circular embroidered insignia with a red and yellow motif. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
