The manual contains technical instruction on motor vehicle mechanics, steering systems, maintenance echelons, and driver training. It includes handwritten marginalia and notes on several pages. The second item is a Basic Field Manual, Soldier’s Handbook, designated FM 21-100, published by the War Department and dated July 23, 1941, with updates including C1 (May 4, 1942) and C2 (December 28, 1942).
