Description
This lot consists of two vintage law enforcement duty shirts manufactured by Elbeco for the Newark, Ohio Police Department. The collection includes one long-sleeve shirt and one short-sleeve shirt, both featuring a two-tone design with black epaulets and black pointed pocket flaps. The long-sleeve shirt is constructed from a grey fabric identified by the collar label as Regulation 2×2 Tropical, composed of 55 percent Dacron polyester and 45 percent viscose rayon. It is fitted with two embroidered shoulder patches featuring a gold eagle over a dark blue background with the text POLICE NEWARK OHIO. The short-sleeve shirt is a greyish-green color with a collar label for the Simpson’s Citation line, indicating a permanent press fabric blend of 65 percent Dacron polyester and 35 percent Avril rayon. This shirt features a Newark, Ohio Police patch on the left shoulder and a United States flag patch with gold trim on the right shoulder. Both garments retain their original manufacturer labels. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
