Description
This reproduction socket bayonet and accompanying scabbard are patterned after the British Brown Bess model. The bayonet is manufactured from steel and finished with a high-polish luster. The blade features a triangular cross-section with a single longitudinal fuller. The integral socket is equipped with a zig-zag mounting slot and a rear bridge for attachment. No visible maker marks, proof stamps, or government markings are present on the piece. The black leather scabbard is fitted with a brass frog stud and a brass terminal chape.
