This assortment contains various military-issue and auxiliary personal items dating from World War II through the Cold War era. The group includes a pair of US Army cotton boxer-style drawers with a black ink stamp on the interior waistband reading GOODENOW TEXTILES CO. DATED 12-13-43 P.O. NO. 535 U.S. ARMY SPEC. 6-185B 55-D-404 with a size 36 designation. Also present is a dark olive drab knit wool V-neck sweater featuring ribbed cuffs and waistband and an illegible frayed white cloth tag at the neck. An auxiliary comfort item is included in the form of an olive green knit wool scarf with a sewn label identifying it as a contribution from the American Red Cross Southeastern Penna. Chapter. The lot features a sleeveless olive drab knit wool vest with a manufacturer label for Jonesknit by Jones Knitting Mills, Los Angeles, stating it is 100 percent wool. Rounding out the collection is a ribbed olive drab wool tube scarf, visually consistent with the post-World War II USGI OG-208 pattern.
