A trio of silver bullion coins struck by the Royal Canadian Mint, each dated 2017. These coins carry a legal tender face value of 8 Dollars and are composed of 1 1/2 troy ounces of .9999 fine silver. The reverse design features a grizzly bear standing on a rocky outcrop, set against a background of micro-engraved radial lines. Inscriptions on the reverse include CANADA 2017, 9999, and FINE SILVER 1 1/2 OZ ARGENT PUR. A small maple leaf security mark is visible to the right of the bear, along with the initials PL. The obverse displays the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by artist Susanna Blunt, with the initials SB on the shoulder. Obverse inscriptions include ELIZABETH II, 8 DOLLARS, and D.G. REGINA. Each coin is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule with a white foam insert.
