This collection consists of silver bullion coins produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, each dated 2017. The coins are struck in .9999 fine silver and feature a grizzly bear standing on a rocky outcrop on the reverse. Literal inscriptions on the reverse include CANADA 2017, FINE SILVER 1 1/2 OZ ARGENT PUR, and the purity 9999 positioned beneath a small maple leaf emblem, along with the engraver initials PL. The obverse displays the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions ELIZABETH II, 8 DOLLARS, and D . G . REGINA, alongside the designer initials SB. Both the obverse and reverse fields feature a radial line background pattern as a security measure. Each coin is housed in a clear plastic protective capsule with a white circular gasket.
