Description
This eclectic assembly of antique and vintage collectibles spans the late 19th through the late 20th centuries, offering a broad range of cultural and historical interest. The centerpiece of the doll selection is a 1977 Bradley “Big Eyed” doll, often referred to as a “Southern Belle” or “Tina” model, dressed in a tiered red lace gown with a matching bonnet and original stand, marked “Made in Korea.” Significant ephemera includes a red velvet-bound autograph book dated 1892 from Sixteen Mile Island, Ohio, featuring period inscriptions and decorative cover plaques. Religious and international history is represented by a 1917 Hindi Christian hymn book titled Masīhī Bhajan kī Kitāb, published by the Methodist Publishing House in Lucknow, India. Advertising items include a vintage cardboard Hershey’s Cocoa Butter Toilet Soap box. Decorative arts feature a framed whimsical watercolor illustration of a girl among flowers, a porcelain cabinet plate with a portrait of a woman set against a cobalt and gold-tone filigree border, and a polychrome cast metal mirror with an ornate floral frame. The lot also contains a turquoise-blue lidded glass dish, two hand-painted floral porcelain brooches, a small metal bell with a painted handle, and a selection of Indian postage stamps including the 1948 Mahatma Gandhi memorial issue. Additional paper goods include 1920s-era Ohio Amateur Athletic Union certificates and various postcards. Burns in-house shipping is available.
