Description
This collection comprises various mid-20th-century leisure and smoking-related items. Featured is a boxed set of Fair Play playing cards featuring exclusive golf-themed designs by Norman Rockwell, specifically from the Sporting Boys series, with the box lid bearing a printed presentation inscription to Phil Bud Heil. The lot includes several other decks of playing cards in various cases and a set of dominoes with decorative gilt and green backs housed in a textured paper-covered wooden box. Smoking accessories consist of a faceted clear glass table lighter with a chrome-finish mechanism and a silver-plated matchbox holder decorated with rococo-style repoussé scrolls and floral motifs. Also included is a dark-stained wooden desk stand with an oval base supporting two pedestal cups, one containing a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and the other holding a group of matches. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
