Description
A cylindrical container constructed from stitched birch bark featuring horizontal lenticels and a diamond-shaped patch on the exterior. The bark is joined with natural fiber lashing along the seams and rims. The cylinder is mounted to a circular black-painted cast-iron base with four curved legs in the Victorian style. The underside of the base retains a taped paper clipping from King Features Syndicate depicting a Victorian cast-iron footstool.
