Description

A diverse collection of American sterling silver items comprising both flatware and hollowware. Flatware includes a fork and spoon in the Treasure pattern by Rogers, Lunt & Bowlen, marked with the maker’s stylized RLB hallmark and STERLING. Also included is a spoon by R. Wallace & Sons marked R.W. & S. STERLING and a souvenir spoon featuring a detailed Detroit cityscape marked for retailer WRIGHT, KAY & CO. DETROIT with additional manufacturer hallmarks. The lot features several commemorative and decorative pieces, including a George Washington portrait spoon, a spoon with an engraved architectural scene of a high school in the bowl, and a small three-tined fork with a pierced decorative handle. Hollowware and table accessories consist of an Arts & Crafts style hammered napkin ring with an engraved R.H.O monogram, a pair of miniature rounded salt and pepper shakers measuring approximately 1.25 inches in height, and several pieces of heavily damaged hollowware. The damaged components include a large portion of a dish or bowl featuring an ornate chased and repoussé border of floral and scrollwork designs, along with a crushed lid or pedestal base. Total weight: 258.4 grams. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, March 27 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
