Description
World War One 2nd Class Iron Cross with the accompanying certificate. The medal was presented September 9, 1916 to unteroffizier Bernhard Stonnebrink of the 9th Company, 92nd Regiment. The certificate is signed by “W Wegner” Lieutenant Colonel and Regimental commander. The document was printed by Poppen & Sohn, Freiburg. 8.31″ x 6.94″. The document may have been removed from a scrapbook-photo album as the back edges are reinforced. The Iron Cross is three piece construction with a magnetic core. The ring is stamped “KO”. The ribbon is original. Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
