Civil War Union soldier 1/4 plate tintype photograph of a New York Volunteer infantryman. The subject stands at order arms with a 2 band rifle with fixed bayonet. He holds a large caliber pistol across his chest and has a knife tucked into his belt. He wears a New York Style infantry shell jacket and a SNY belt plate.There are some light abrasions and crazing on this photo but there is no flaking or loose emulsion. The image is stable. Image is housed in a mat. Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
