Description
This collection features mid-20th-century button sales materials from the Lansing Company, Inc. of Lansing, Iowa. The group includes a salesman sample book and several large display cards, with one notably marked 1950 – Spring and Summer Line and another labeled Catalog No. 64. These items are buttons presented in a wide variety of styles and materials including bakelite, plastic, fresh water pearl, and metal. Each specimen is organized by style number, size, and color. The cards feature printed pricing and marketing slogans such as Lansing Buttons mean Greater Profits, Spring Styles mean Sure Spring Sales, and Lansing Buttons for around-the-clock fashions. One card is specifically titled Lansing Utility, Fresh Water Pearl and Metal Buttons. The materials also include references to the Streamline brand. Also included is a sample book cover from Namm and Singer Inc. of New York. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
