Description
This collection of antique and vintage black glass buttons is systematically organized and mounted on several display boards. The assortment includes a wide variety of styles such as pictorial designs, molded textures, faceted shapes, and buttons with gold-line patterns. The pictorial buttons feature diverse motifs including cats, elephants, pug dogs, and insects. Other designs include intricate floral, geometric, and scrollwork patterns. Construction methods vary, with many buttons featuring inserted shanks as indicated by the display labels. Some examples exhibit metallic gold or silver luster, while others are designed to imitate fabric textures or feature thread grooves. The buttons are presented on boards with printed labels such as Pictorial Black Glass, Black Glass Gold Line Design, and Glass Older Only All Inserted Shanks. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
