Description
This extensive collection of antique and vintage buttons features a diverse assortment of china, ceramic, and bone pieces, organized for display and study. The collection includes various styles such as mid-19th-century Gaitors or bullseyes in a spectrum of colors, alongside stenciled floral and geometric patterns, calico, gingham, and pie crust designs. Many items are mounted on categorized boards with labels identifying types like Stencil, Ringer, and Whistle, while others are individually carded in plastic sleeves, some with handwritten notes regarding their origin or period. The collection represents a broad range of historical button manufacturing techniques and aesthetic styles.
Display boards approximately 11 inches wide. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
