Description
This collection of vintage and modern novelty buttons is presented across five display cards, organized by themes of hearts and hats. The buttons are constructed from a diverse array of materials as identified by handwritten labels and printed tags, including Bakelite, bone, leather, gourd, ceramic, celluloid, and sterling silver. The heart-themed cards feature various styles such as iridescent mother-of-pearl, faceted glass, molded plastic, and embossed metals. Notable examples include a large pink heart and buttons with lock-and-key motifs. The hat-themed cards showcase miniature representations of headgear, including sombreros, cowboy hats, top hats, and floral-adorned bonnets in ceramic, metal, and plastic. One card features a Goodman and Co NYC inscription. These items are buttons intended for clothing or decorative use.
The display cards measure approximately 11 inches by 8.5 inches each. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
