Description
This collection of buttons is systematically organized on three mounting boards labeled Metal Modern, Blown Glass, and White Metal. The Metal Modern board contains an assortment of metal buttons in various finishes including gold, silver, bronze, and black enamel, featuring heraldic crests, floral patterns, and geometric motifs. The Blown Glass board presents multiple glass buttons in various sizes and colors, including pearlescent spheres, translucent swirls, and a prominent gold-toned glass flower; several items on this board include handwritten cataloging notes. The White Metal board features silver-toned buttons arranged in a grid with abstract, floral, and geometric shapes, accompanied by a label indicating they were imported from China. The buttons are constructed from various metals and glass, with some glass examples featuring applied shanks.
