Description
This collection of buttons is presented on a textured red display card, with individual pieces mounted within white circular frames. The assortment includes a variety of materials such as brass, cut steel, carved shell, enamel, pewter, and colored glass. Decorative techniques featured include piercing, painting, and relief carving. Several buttons depict specific pictorial motifs identified by accompanying labels, including Horseman & Dog, La tour de Nesle, and a hot air balloon.
