Description
A collection of vintage and antique buttons featuring architectural motifs, presented on a display card labeled ARCHITECTURAL STRUCTURES. The assortment confirms these items are buttons crafted from a variety of materials, including four large circular ceramic buttons with blue and white transferware designs depicting European-style houses, cottages, and mills. Other examples include embossed gold-toned and bronze-toned metals showing buildings in relief, a black molded glass button, and a small shield-shaped carved wooden piece. Notable items include a miniature enameled button depicting the Great Wall of China with an enameled back, identified by a handwritten note as being from the collection of Lucille Weingarten, and a small circular button with a scenic landscape set into a gold-toned frame.
