Description
An assortment of vintage and antique buttons presented on multiple labeled display boards and sample cards. The collection features a variety of Czech glass buttons, including hand-painted, molded, and gilt Deco styles. Materials represented across the boards include glass such as uranium, saphirette, and iridescent varieties, as well as various metals including cloisonne, satsuma, brass, and steel. Other materials identified include wood, polymers such as celluloid, bakelite, and nylon, shell including abalone and mother-of-pearl, bone, vegetable ivory, and stone. The buttons are categorized by material and style, with boards titled Diminutive, Dimi-Material Summary, and Other Materials.
