Description
This collection of vintage glass buttons is presented on two original display cards. The first card, titled Pastes in Modern Glass, features buttons in colors such as deep red, cobalt blue, amber, and opaque white, many of which are set with clear or colored paste stones in floral, domed, and geometric shapes. The second card, labeled Painted Glass Also Lustered, displays buttons decorated with hand-painted floral motifs, luster finishes, and intricate patterns. One large specimen is noted as having brown glass at the shank with a colorful dotted surface. The collection showcases various glass-making techniques including molding, hand-painting, and luster glazing. These items are buttons consistent with mid-20th century manufacturing from regions such as Czechoslovakia and West Germany. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
