Description
This collection of antique and vintage buttons is presented on two labeled display boards. The first board, titled SM. JEWELS (AKA WESKITS), contains an assortment of decorative buttons featuring enamel work, metallic rims, and scenic transfers including a dog, a bird, and landscape scenes. Materials include glass, ceramic, and metal with techniques such as sheet overlay and P.I. glass as indicated by handwritten annotations. The second board, titled WAISTCOATS LONG SHANK ONLY, features primarily dome-shaped and cabochon-style buttons with marbled, iridescent, and striped finishes. Several buttons are identified as West German glass. The collection includes various geometric and floral motifs across both boards, with some buttons featuring metallic shanks and others showing porcelain transfers.
Board width: approximately 18 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
