Description
An assortment of antique and vintage buttons featuring black glass set within various metal mounts. The collection includes a variety of decorative styles such as molded glass, silver luster finishes, and intricate metalwork in brass and silver-toned alloys. Motifs present include floral patterns, starburst filigree, a cameo, and a small bird depicted in color. Several pieces are further embellished with rhinestones or paste accents in various configurations. The items are presented on two perforated cardboard mounting boards labeled Glass in Metal (Black Glass) and Black Glass in Metal, with additional handwritten notes identifying specific types such as rimmed and row boat back.
Individual buttons range from approximately 0.25 inches to 1.5 inches in diameter.
Mounting boards measure approximately 9 inches in width. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
