Description
This collection of vintage and antique buttons is presented on three separate mounting boards, organized by style and size. The first board, labeled Swirlback, contains glass buttons in diverse colors and patterns, including swirl and paperweight styles, with handwritten notations such as cradle cap and thread bound. The second board, titled Dimi – Enamel 140/Sheet, features multiple small enamel buttons utilizing techniques such as ginbari, transfer-ware, and pierced designs. The third board, labeled Too Big to be Diminutive, holds a selection of larger ornamental buttons constructed from metal, glass, and composite materials. The collection includes various shapes such as round, square, and lozenge, with decorative elements including floral motifs, geometric patterns, and faceted surfaces. The assembly includes examples of Czech antique glass as indicated by the styles and mounting methods.
Mounting boards: approximately 8 x 6 inches each Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
