Description
A collection of pictorial buttons featuring a diverse assortment of subjects including tools, animals, clothing, nautical themes, and symbolic motifs. The items are crafted from a broad range of materials as identified by accompanying labels, including wood, brass, copper, pewter, chrome-plated metal, glass, and various plastics and resins such as celluloid, acetate, casein, and polyester. Specific styles represented include Arts & Crafts type, Empire pewter, and Modern pique a jour. The collection is mounted on three labeled cream and gray display boards, with some pieces set into circular recessed areas. Notable motifs include a life ring, scales of justice, a miniature revolver, fans, and various botanical and figural forms.
Boards measure approximately 9 inches in height. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
