Description
This collection of buttons is primarily organized into thematic groups titled Owls and Paws, Claws, Hands & Feet. The assortment features a diverse range of materials including brass, pewter, silver-plated metal, black glass, cranberry glass, amber, stoneware, horn, moose antler, vegetable ivory, shell, fabric, and plastic. Specific pieces are identified with labels such as Moose Antler Studio: R. Carpenter, Fabric Studio: Wendy 2009, Sid Bell, Tumy NY, and a piece marked Battersea. The collection includes contemporary commercial items in original packaging as well as vintage-style buttons and a card titled Whooo’s got the button?. Documentation included with the lot is a 2011 Buckeye State Button Society award card for an entry titled Claws, paws, hands & feet and hooves.
Display boards range from approximately 9 to 10 inches in height. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
