Description
A collection of multiple buttons displayed on two separate mounting boards. The weight of evidence suggests theses items are buttons of various materials and periods. One pink card is labeled MOP (GENERAL) and features various mother-of-pearl buttons in diverse shapes and sizes, including examples with handwritten notations for contemporary engraved and gilded pieces. The second white board organizes several buttons within a grid, showcasing materials such as iridescent shell, faceted glass, painted portraits, carved textures, and metallic finishes. The collection exhibits various decorative motifs including floral patterns, geometric engravings, and representational figures.
