Description
This collection of vintage and antique buttons is presented across several labeled display boards, showcasing a diverse range of materials and decorative techniques. These buttons are primarily composed of mother-of-pearl, including hand-carved specimens designed to utilize the natural coloration of the shell. Other materials represented include wood, glass, enamel, brass, pewter, steel, Lucite, and laminate. Notable examples include cameo-carved pieces, wire-bound buttons, and specimens featuring basse-taille enamel on brass. The buttons are organized on perforated mounting cards with handwritten descriptive annotations regarding construction and material composition.
Board height: approximately 9 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
