Description
This assortment of vintage and antique buttons is primarily composed of copper and copper-toned metals. The grouping features a wide array of decorative styles, including detailed pictorial scenes, realistic animal and insect motifs, geometric patterns, and high-relief floral designs. Several examples incorporate secondary materials such as glass cabochons and enamel. The buttons are presented on white display cards organized by themes including Realistic, Pictorial, and Studio. One card bears a handwritten Russian inscription that translates to Grade 1 Kombinat S-Petersburg. These items are buttons that include examples of Division I animal, heraldic, and warrior motifs. The collection displays various manufacturing techniques including die-stamping, piercing, and casting.
Display cards measure approximately 9 inches in width. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
