Description
This collection consists of an assortment of vintage buttons mounted on four separate colored display boards including white, pink, off-white, and blue. The buttons are primarily constructed from celluloid, as indicated by printed labels on the boards and a handwritten notation stating they have been hot needle tested. The assembly features a variety of early to mid-20th-century styles, including Art Deco and various novelty designs. Observable motifs include molded floral patterns, geometric shapes, animal figures, and human faces. Specific designs of note include a classical profile labeled LIBERTY, a button featuring Japanese characters, sun and moon faces, and various multi-colored textured patterns. The buttons vary in shape, size, and color, showcasing a range of molded details and construction techniques characteristic of the period.
