Description
This assortment features a collection of antique and vintage buttons showcased across numerous individual cardstock mounts and a larger categorized display board. The collection includes diverse styles and materials such as intricate brass and copper-plated filigree cricket cage buttons, cloisonne enamel pieces, cut steel, mother-of-pearl, and examples with paste stone and glass embellishments. Notable items include several buttons identified as cricket cages and a floral filigree button marked .925 for sterling silver. The collection includes a competition entry from the 2015 Buckeye State Button Society show, Award Number 22, Classification 10-15, which received a second-place award ribbon for filigree buttons including cricket cages. One mount is specifically labeled as harvesting cut steels for replacement parts. The buttons are professionally presented for study or exhibition.
