Description
A collection of vintage and antique buttons featuring a variety of designs and materials. This assortment includes several buttons still attached to their original The Latest in Buttons retail cards, which bear markings indicating origins from Czecho-Slovakia and Germany. A significant portion of the loose buttons are identified as aluminum by an included label, while a handwritten note identifies certain examples as containing Bakelite components. The decorative motifs are diverse, featuring heraldic crests, coats of arms, animals including lions and birds, early automobiles, floral patterns, and geometric shapes. Notable inscriptions on specific pieces include ARCHID.AVST.DUX, SALZBURG, and DEVS SALVA NOS. The collection encompasses various sizes and forms, including circular, square, and shield shapes.
The display board measures approximately 8.5 inches in height. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
