This collection of Victorian-era livery buttons includes specimens attributed to Firmin & Sons. These items are buttons constructed from silver-toned and gold-toned metals, featuring a diverse array of embossed heraldic crests and motifs. The designs include symbols such as lions, unicorns, birds of prey, armored arms wielding weapons, and botanical elements like acorns and fleur-de-lis. One button features the motto Toujours Pret. The collection is mounted on a tan cataloging worksheet labeled LIVERY, which contains handwritten identification notes for specific crests including Lance Head, Spur, and Sword and Arrow. One item is noted as a scarce intaglio design.
