Description
An assortment of livery buttons featuring various embossed heraldic crests and devices. These items are buttons crafted from silver-toned and gold-toned metals in round and square forms. The collection includes motifs such as mythical creatures, human figures, anchors, crowns, and wheat sheaves. Handwritten annotations on the mounting card identify specific pieces as having British silver hallmarks from S and W LD and being sterling silver. One button is attributed to Diez y Co – Madrid. A prominent button displays the Latin motto NIL DESPERANDUM. The buttons are of various sizes and are mounted on an off-white display card.
Display card: 8.5 x 11 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
