Description
A collection of Victorian-era buttons presented on a mounting card. The assortment features various decorative styles and construction techniques. Materials include celluloid in solid, faux tortoise, and marbleized finishes, frequently integrated with metal accents in gold-, silver-, and bronze-toned finishes. Decorative motifs include floral sprays, intricate geometric patterns, starbursts, and scrollwork. Technical details include embossed and incised designs, filigree overlays, hand-painted enamel floral accents, and small inset rhinestones.
Mounting card measures approximately 8.5 inches in width. Individual buttons range from approximately 0.75 inches to 1.25 inches in diameter. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
